Finding balance after breaking structures.

Dust is a choral work about  the Woolsey Fire that struck Los Angeles and my hometown, Thousand Oaks, back in 2017. In just a few days it burnt down 96,949 acres of land, 1,643 structures, killed three people, and caused more than 295,000 people to evacuate their homes. I was commissioned to write this piece for the Areté Vocal Ensemble in 2018 and displayed the destruction of the Fire as well ...
