The Sea

The edge of the cliff
overlooking the churning Sea
the repeated crash of waves
echoes like a voice
in my head...
its voice is comforting
like a Mother
beckoning to her child.
The sky is but one cloud
dark and ominous
no light on the other side...
yet I feel safe
the air is warm
and the spray of the Sea
licks my face.
There is no light on the Other Side.
To be one with the Sea
an endless sleep deep below
the Sea
beckoning to Her child
"put one foot in the sea"
there will never be light on the Other Side
into the Sea
a watery grave of mine
Forever be.
