I was at the SanDiego Zoo and was admiring the flamingos. This one snatched my attention. I felt as though it was staring into my soul... It was at peace while balanced on one leg.

These photos were taken on a walk along the west River Lyn in Devon. I was in Devon on a family holiday and we stopped to have some lunch in a local cafe in the middle of the forest. An experimental short film detailing the current pandemic, as well as the psychological nature behind it. Through visuals and extreme sounds, a nightmarish dreamscape will be created, making an unpredictable reality that is difficult to escape from.

During the UK's lockdown I have been drawing birds around the world, using the photographs of birdwatchers from Instagram as references. Using a simple medium- felt tips on paper- I wanted to capture the simplicity of the birds' beauty and the joy of the great outdoors at a time where everyone's access was limited.
