anissa

honey pours from her mouth,
down her chocolate curls,
and slides across her caramel skin,
pooling at her feet.

lakes full of the amber nectar.
too thick to swim,
too thick to sink.

her tears, a fountain of memories.
long forgotten films,
of better times.
hot and heavy they flow.

falling to the Earth they disappear
once more.

stars dust her brow,
and surround her
in a cage of glitter and steel.
trapped.

singing and crying
in her beautiful prison.
as she falls to her knees,
the world finally breathes.
