The Taundra that is my Heart

Within me there is something frozen.
It will never be touched, nor heated.
To connect with it reminds me I will be late,
I will be late again.
My words of advice is adapt to the cold.
For this cold won’t make me cough, nor will it make me sick
It will freeze me.
Within me there is something frozen.
Hands try to rob it, but why rob a piece of ice.
There it lies frozen, there I lie numb.
This forest, this scenery of cold.
I freeze, I froze, I will freeze.
My instinct frozen, but my dialogue says run.
I try, I fight, but I stand cold.
I wonder if in your eyes I’m already old, there is something off about the past as it turns into nothing but ash.
Find it buried in the whitest of snow.
My eyes are so familiar with it, yet I have never met the whitest snow.
My inner eye belongs in a frozen tundra, in a place so out of heat, out of reach.
I have never touched the whitest snow, but I feel cold most of the time, I have never met love, heat.
Within me there is something frozen.
