Tides of Life

I belong where the land is hard beneath my feet,
And yet here I float,
Gentle as the breeze on top of the sea.
A cavernous abyss of water sinks below me to depths unknown.
Bubbles arise from creatures secret,
And the circle of life continues on despite my presence.

It feels so good to feel so weightless,
Having carried the baggage of my past for so long.
