Submission

In scarcity's grip, I languished day by day,
Survivalist shackles held my spirit's sway.
My mind, a prison where despair did breed,
In company and solitude, I yearned to be freed.

Perception had painted life in shades of dull grey,
An endless struggle, a tireless slog without pay.
Depleted and weary, it seemed a permanent life of strife,
A tragedy of boredom, pain, in an endless blight.

The spark within, once bright, began to fade,
The fire of hope, swarmed by darkness, appeared betrayed.
Each flicker a sigh, a dirge and dance in the night,
The flames weeping silently, the inevitable suffocation in sight.

With each new dawn, more frail embers could I see,
Extinguished hopes and dreams, the heart consumed by apathy.

To a garden I roamed, my final resting space,
A peace appeared within, when I found my place.
Resigned, I gave my essence, future and history too,
Unclenched, instead of ceasing, my heart's rhythm anew.

Accidently shedding the ego and my design,
I merged with universe, no longer a boundary line,
Became one with all, the secret unity known,
The old had perished, that held me alone.

Metanoia in love's radiant light,
A soul rebirth, in infinite loves’ maternal might,
We deserve endless love for all, I felt an ethereal beckoning call,
‘Seek and you shall find, presence in the now, a truth above all.’

Perception altered, the flame now boldly glowing with a fervent grace,
Never alone, we are all connected beyond time and space,
The curtain lifted, the emptiness effaced,
We are an eternal fabric, in which we are all encased.

The cipher I held, was the universe's embrace,
Infinite love, the gift we receive at our own pace,
Within, I was given the beating hearts’ key,

To cosmic love, and the love within me.
