A Dance of a Second Chance

I’m sorry

I know I probably shouldn’t be the one to apologize but I am

I let you go

I thought our friendship had nothing to show

I thought that you were just playing with me

Like a cat and mouse game

Now I realize we were both to blame

You may have been the one to stop talking

But I was the one who let it continue

I hope there’s still a spark of what we had with in you

So here’s what I think

We start over

We move past the pain

Neither of us have to explain

We give each other a second chance

We’ll start off slow

Kind of like a dance

Maybe we’ll become friends again

Or maybe not

Either way I miss seeing you

I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to remember what I’d forgot
