Olivia’s Playhouse

The series presented titled “Olivia’s Playroom” comes from DMV-native and queer model Olivia Nzang’s virtual exhibition of personal experiences from their past 20 years of life. Formulated into span of conceptual shoots, poetry pieces and curated music, their virtual museum presented as “Liv & Friends” allows viewers a glimpse into the ways they have maneuvered the world as a result of significant events that have shaped their identity. “Olivia’s Playroom” is inspired by Tiffany Gouche’s Red Rum Melody and Gallant’s Gentleman. With two masculine presenting humans portrayed as soft lovers, this shoot returns to Africa’s non heteronormative roots. These photos were taken by New York-native creative photographer Jaadyn Rogers.
