I would like to tell you a bit about the song itself. As a child, you tend to get away with doing things without any explanation, but as you grow older, we're often questioned 'why' for the things we do and the way we act. "Childish" is a portrayal of this feeling of not wanting to do something because your gut tells you that it's not right for you at that moment, and simply just because you don't want to do something. The stubborn thoughts, the imaginative impulses and this feeling I can't quite explain is to me, what childish feels like and is portrayed throughout the song.
I wrote Childish in about 2 days and finished mixing the rest in another couple of days when I got back to London from Japan. Childish came to me very easily because I wrote it at my Grandmother's house and was constantly reminiscing about my childhood.
