Let’s Rock These Walls

Artist bio
JasijahX is an American rapper and songwriter hailing from Atlanta, GA by way of Portland, OR. Growing up in NE Portland, X was introduced to music early on by his mother running her mom and pop record store, Kim’s music, and more. His earliest memory of creating music was at 8 years old when his brother and he created a music group called My Brother’s Keeper (MBK). He performed a song co-written by his mother and uncle and from that moment on, X knew he was born to entertain.

When a legal custody battle arose between X’s Father and Mom, Jasijah and his brother Devin made a life- changing decision to move south with their Mother. At this point, X was focused on sports while his brother continues the pursuit of a music career. Jasijah was able to earn a full-ride scholarship to play football at Grambling State University later after a 1-year stent decided football was not for him. Moving back to Georgia, X found himself now in Gwinnett county known as the Nawf Side honing his skills. Jasijah and his friends later moved to the west side of Atlanta where they begin to create their brand and identity UNKWN.

After a year of crafting a visual interpretation of who X is as a rapper and a few SoundCloud releases, he found himself back east of Atlanta. Being well received by friends and music influencers alike he garnered the attention of the late DJ Big Kap, Troy Marshall, Program Director Skip Dillard, and the Coalition DJ’s of Atlanta, Jasijah went on to release his first single titled Tonight ft Anthony Lewis gaining national as well as international radio support. While working his single in the southern club scene, X wanted more and that’s when he received an invitation to perform at WCCG 104.5 summer jam later came his invitation to perform at NYC WBLS Circle of sisters.

Just as stuff began to take off tragedy struck. Within a year Jasijah lost 3 people close to him, first his mentor Big Kap no more than 2 months later a friend and member of UNKWN Alex passed, and later in the year his cousin Christan to cancer this loss was particularly hard to get over because while she was battling cancer X was by her side for most of her treatments. With all those losses Jasijah decided he needed to take time to take care of his Mental Health. Long Story short X is back and he is back to “Run It” over the last 6 months he has been crafting an undeniable body of work from album cuts that grab your heart and hit like singles to singles that shake the room. JasijahX has mixed North West pain and emotion his Southern street savvy and his NEW YORK Esq. confidence gained from his time with Big Kap and the Burn Unit. He is back and providing a feeling a vibe a mood never heard or seen before.
