Tomorrow, maybe

Today I want to fall in love
with strangers.
I want to bathe myself
in the smell of rain on tarmac
and kiss my friends.

I want to unravel my brain;
read my story

and roller-skate on the sea.

I want to see the world.
But only the good bits.

I want to help those in need

to make myself
feel
better.
But today it feels like I have to remind myself to breathe.

I sewed the hems of the trousers you never wore.
I filled the silence.

I broke it.

You didn't break my heart,
you broke everything else.

There is no border.

There was something strange about
that night.
Your face was symmetrical.

Tomorrow, maybe.
