Continue to possess power that is held over everyone.
Hold these truths
your truths, our truths, whose truths?
The truth that everyone is worth less, unless you’re one of us.
The truth that if your Bible doesn’t lead, we won’t follow,
Better yet, we won’t listen.
to be self evident
Hiding in plain sight in everything we say and do
Enforcing on those different, less privileged, less in control.
That all men
Not women, not anyone, not humans, not people.
All men.
That they are created equal.
Equal in their freedom to think, and exist, to express
Their own vital thoughts and opinions on those who aren’t them.
Created equal?
Equal to the belief that WE, the people, are only free
If our freedom is born into a man.
