Blue House is a hand drawn animation in combination with image sequences from Google Earth. The narrative is an exploration of a memory I’ve had since I was a child that turned out to just be a distant dream. 

Through some dream analysis work, I’ve dissected the Blue House and how it closes the boundaries between my own past, present, and future. Right now I’m at a point in my life where I find myself reconciling with the Blue House and the meaning behind those key symbols present within the dream. Through my process I asked myself, “how do I experience the two main colors, blue and yellow, what feelings do I associate them with, and is there a collective thought between those ideas?” In the work, yellow holds themes of comfort and safety while blue is meant to embody possibilities as expansive as water.
