Redington Beach

& I sit, sipping
ice water &
her lips,

quelling thirst
for fiery sun
falling

in eyes, deep
as an ocean
side

sunset.

a saxophonist,
lulling souls
into

the place only
flying gulls
& free

balloons float,
plays notes
that

tango

like candlelight
dancing with
twilight;

it was twilight,
decade prior,
she

came

to leave me, &
thru the night
stayed

in a wool

blanket lightly
sipping tea,
while I

mixed remedy
for the flu,

& love movies
for worry.
