Jazzy B was written in an attempt to explore the sonic history of my home region of Latin America and more specifically the trail and influences of African rhythms into and throughout the americas. Drawing large influence from the Cuban folk genre Guajira, Jazzy B plays as an audio journey from the acoustic roots of the genre to a contemporary interpretation that incorporates aspects of Guajira's many descendant genres.
