Becca Maule - Poison Roses

Becca Maule is a 16 year old, self-produced, indie artist from Salisbury, UK. Soft harmonies and electric guitars pair together to create a unique and vibrant sound to both dance and cry to. Writing songs in her bedroom, Becca writes about mental health, being LGBT and growing up in a world where she doesn't feel she fits in. Becca is inspired by the DIY scene, combining drum machines and home studios. However growing up listening to classic rock artists that her Dad played often, inspires her use of real instruments, trying to make it sound as authentic as possible.

Her latest release, Poison Roses, is about her struggles with depression and how they impact her relationships. Becca aimed to create a song both comforting, through the dreamy harmonies, and chilling, created through the dark lyrics as a way to express how she was feeling. This represents her depression - as although she loathes it, she finds comfort in her sadness and her ability to create art from it.
