Favorite Photographs

my favorite photographs (or pictures at all)
are the ones
into which I wish I could fall

let them envelop me,
then them I'd be.

they could surround me
that time and that place
every little detail about that space

just sink right in
then I think I'd begin
to understand it all
during the fall.

I want to be soaked up,
each picture a puddle,
each thought like this one
that makes my mind muddle

surround me
astound me
just be around me
