Pride Etchings

Maddie Stringer

This limited edition series consists of twelve 50 x 50cm photo etching on 56 x 76cm 300gsm textured paper.

Inspired by the gay disco anthem ‘So Many Men, So Little Time’ by Miquel Brown, these etchings have each been printed in the individual colours of the pride flag (2 available in each colour). They have been hand-crafted using my original photography-based design, featuring Michelangelo’s sculpture ‘David’. The large steel plate was made as a photo etching using Rhinds varnish as an etch resist, the image screened on to the steel and etched in nitric acid and then printed in Intaglio onto premium printmaking textured paper.

A percentage of the profits will be going to the amazing charity @notaphaseorg who are working towards a brighter future for the trans+ community through awareness campaigning, developing company diversity strategies and supporting trans+ owned business and projects with financial and material investment.
