Wrong By Gracie Grinter

Chloe Grinter, 18, is a self releasing and producing artists based in Taunton, Somerset, with songs she has written from her bedroom. Her sound has been influenced by many eclectic genres, such as Jazz, Alternative Indie and Pop. Her jazz-tinged instrumentation, her heartfelt lyrics and her raspy and recognisable voice would be described similarly to female singers like @AmyWinehouse and music ornamentation of @Beabadoobee and @Clario, which she later refers to as her idols.

Her drive and determination shows in her work and her high quality and high energy performances wouldn’t be something you’d want to miss. Over the past few years, Gracie Grinter has begun playing gigs in the local area, whether that be with her band RATR or by herself, she always seems to put on an enthusiastic and emotional performance through her delicate dynamics and navigation of melody.

Her newest single, ‘Wrong’, is self produced and self written about feeling like a bad luck charm, and literally ‘everything she does seems to be wrong’. It includes complex and intricate guitar riffs and a hip-hop styled drum beat. The song includes feelings of pessimism and defeat which she portrays beautifully through her moving lyrics and musical talent while still making it a summer anthem.
