I play under the name Mojo JNR, its a bedroom pop/folk project inspired by a plethora of artists of all different styles and walks of life.
Miles Away was written at the beginning of the UK Covid-19 lockdown (although you’ll be pleased to hear the song is not about that specifically). The music was inspired by my fascination with bands like Big Thief, Courtney Barnett and Phoebe Bridgers. Whilst the lyrics were influenced by a book called Pan by Knut Hamsen.
The artwork is a picture I took from the near the top of Mount Tiede in Tenerife two years ago. The original picture was not very impressive but when I messed with the editing it came alive. Links to the streaming sites are below:
