Sunrise

Sunrise.
I open my eyes.
I hear the seagulls cry.
I am alive.
I have been granted another day on earth, while many have died during the night.
Do I thrive or merely survive?
Do I fill my day with happy thoughts or worries that most times come to nought and make my brow furrow?
Sunrise
I see the sky and the clouds that float past my window.
Be grateful for sunrise.
One day there will be no tomorrow.
