"Sorrowed Time" By Quincy Unseth

Life witnessed by time, that never did turn

As moments, cemented, that foment and churn

Both sonorous violence, and onerous silence

By faces of graceless eternity’s spurn

Permanent minutes, vignettes in my mind

As secret mementos nobody could find

If any were spoken, they’d know I was broken

So I tried to hide I had fallen behind

Stillborn in a blind nest, looms pressure to learn

To mourn not the timeless tomb where you return

Stale hates, you unraveled: their fates were untraveled

Look back but twice a day, lest your soul will burn

Alone, time feels wounds, in throes of despair

Just know it heals too, when with those who care

They’ll have you hold their hand, so you can understand

Time is less what you give, and more what you share

Do not be afraid to borrow

Time, so you can see tomorrow
