Reflections: PeeCee & The Origami Wallaby

Origami is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin.

Everyone has a type they're attracted to; mine has always been dark-complexioned bruthas...until Him.

I met Him on a work-project in Boston MA he was a good looking well spoken brother light-complexion, nice hair, etc.  I noticed every time we ran into each other he would stare at me which made me a bit uncomfortable but I kept it moving.
The next couple of years I would peruse the list of employees on any given project to see if his name was on the call list before I accepted the project only because he had become a little annoying.
A couple of years later my company was staffing a huge project in Tallahassee FL and they needed Project Managers and Supervisors.  I had never been to Tallee so I accepted without seeing the call list.
The first day of Orientation who do I see? Him. He comes over and says hello it's nice to see you etc.
Here we go I thought to myself.
This project was so large they had a 3-11pm shift which I volunteered for because I'm not a morning person.  The Project was gearing up and they were staffing for Auditors and Claims Examiners.
My friend Fenton was on this project and was my Team Lead along with a couple of other friends also.  Things were falling into place.
One afternoon I clocked in and went to my desk on the keyboard was a little paper object.  I picked it up and looked closer it was an Origami Fox...very cute.  I placed it inside the drawer and thought it was someone's idea of a joke.  This continued every other day with a different animal until I had a menagerie in my desk drawer.
One afternoon I decided to show Fenton my personal paper zoo and get his opinion on what I should do. I opened the drawer full of paper animals so Fenton could get the whole effect.
His eyes got big.
"Um PeeCee what thee hell kinda Voodoo is this?  In that sassy southern drawl of his.
"Oh you're no help!" I slammed the drawer shut.  Truth is I believed I knew who the Culprit was.
I had a challenge for him.  That night I left a note on my keyboard.
'If you can create a Wallaby you might have a chance with me.'
I had always wanted a Wallaby for a pet every since I was a kid.
Well he went one better.
The next afternoon on a Friday when I clocked in there  on my keyboard sat an Origami Kangaroo with a baby Kangaroo in her pouch.
I went to dinner with him that night and learned he was quite the accomplished Artist/Graphic Artist.  And a nice guy...go figure.
