Birthed from a smokey university house in the midst of the world almost ending, Isabelle Smith, Harry Charlton, Fi, & Ned form Birmingham's latest output of genre bending goodness - Pip. Initially hatched as a coping mechanism to deal with the joys of not being allowed outside, Pip’s music turned into a nostalgia-induced distraction for the newly grad’s seeking to escape the terror of the adult world.
Pip’s debut will be a perfect find for fans of Crumb, American Football, Hippo Campus, & anyone enamoured with genre-defying bedroom indie. Alforgetti Spaghetti weaves its way through calm waves of reminisce. Pip find themselves nestled upon slow builds that fall into synchronised stabs - fi’s ever present vocals placehold a slightly world-weary tone, but there’s a sense that Pip are here to offer a gateway for growing crowds of like minded twenty-somethings.
Pip list Black Country, New Road, & The Smashing Pumpkins among their influences, and you can hear it.
