In this life I am alone.
Some days a blue glow, others yellow.
Everybody is a glass jar.
Like candles in the dark, we burn separately.
Confined to the spaces which our fates bestow upon us,
only break with understanding that each color is its own.
Understand, we are nothing.
But nothing lasts forever, so they say, and so I break to float in the vastness.
I wish to be nothing eternally.
To see the light which reflects off the shards below me.
Suspended in the sweet certainty that I will never feel as you do but...
One thing I’m missing is in your eyes.
So I keep you around because I love you.
Despite our constant misunderstanding, we are primary color.
I love you
Despite these realizations.
