It’s ok to not be ok, as long as your in the right position,
You can’t let you whole life fall apart, over unhealthy addictions,
The past is in the past, and the future is in the future, so just be here,
Chase your dreams, and live your best life, with no fear,
This is my life, and I will conquer my demons,
I want a better life, more than I’m breathing,
Up late nights, cause I want it more than Im sleeping,
They can knock us down, and we can stay there, or choose to get back up,
This is my life, I will fight for the people I love, and stand up,
Black excellence is required, but to be a good human, is deeper than that,
It’s about loving the ones that’s here, not waiting till they gone, wishing they was back,
From the hidden pain in my heart, to the thoughts on my mind,
God only gives us what we can handle, so just know the plan is divine,
I’ve walked with activist, and I’ve walked with pacifist,
So how can I walk around, seeing all the hate, and not be mad at this,
Staring at the man in the mirror, or is he really staring at me,
Stumbling thru life, looking for the path, that leads to who I’m suppose to be,
It’s never ok to hide your feelings, due to the fear of being hurt,
But to open up, and shine in the darkness, is where you find truth worth,
