love letter

‘I have loved you’
beautiful words stolen from The Most Benevolent
twice stolen;
the words i gave to you in attempt to unveil that you’re my soul’s desire
but like a pair of thieves - where one hides the true value of the treasure they both seek;
i kept discreet the deep truths of my heart
but as i think of you this night
& i get lost in the world of you
i cling onto the words of many who say that the third time is the charm

the release of my inner self goes directly to you
so delicately she is to be captured and rocked by your hand
her pure heart meets his purest touch
maybe not yet in the physical
perhaps in a realm which transcends the universe

so again i’ll say i have loved you
since as for love,
have and will are one in the same
so with these whispers,
i hope they softly engulf you,
overwhelm your being so tenderly,
for i’ve given to you my heart

sink into me
and i think you’ll find yourself at home

ACCOMPANIED WRITING WITH POEM

‘Long ago the Lord said to Israel: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. with unfailing love I have drawn you to myself’ Jeremiah 31:3

In todays society, I believe people have given up on the idea of true love; with all the evil in the world, the unjust hierarchy of man’s superiority over the woman, and the fickle dating culture which promotes anything but commitment - it’s all too understandable to doubt it’s existence. As a result of this you have people suppressing their truest feelings because of previous traumas, fears of getting hurt/abandoned and being seen as ‘too much’ and too demanding. I think after meditating on the words of the Lord I’ve come to see that love is unconditional and everlasting. True love isn’t one that can end; it remains in the past, present and future. Through times of worry, anger, and depression as well as in times of joy, celebration and intimacy. Love in all forms towards family, friends and partners is eternal, not to be hidden but to be embraced, it’s the purpose of humanity. reflecting upon the divine feminine, woman needs to be seen in her truest light. For too long ideologies ingrained inside the mans consciousness has made the woman be thought of as less than, and its so far gone that in this day and age women question their safety when in a mans presence. it’s so normalised that you forget that in reality, it should be the direct opposite and we should actually feel protected by ALL men, not just the ones we know. The richness and power of the woman’s identity needs to be understood and respected in order for man to project correctly and we cannot walk in fullness unless we know the full capacity of each-other’s potential.
