Lilith dances alone

The concept for this videoart is about the Lilith myth as a symbol of female empowerment. Lilith is one of the oldest myths in the world since its origins can be traced back to Mesopotamian times in the Epic of Gilgamesh, considered the oldest known epic story in the history of humankind.

According to Hebrew myth, Lilith was Adam's first wife who left the Garden of Eden after a sexual position dispute. Lilith goes to the Red Sea where lascivious demons were found and she procreated children with them, in another version with the Great Demon, becoming the mother of demons. There are various versions of the myth but most of them have elements in common such as her being a night hunter, femme fatale, sometimes a demon or a succubus, but never subdued.

With the use of RGB lights and a prism, the visuals are intended to evoke a psychedelic experience as if the spectator is catching a glimpse of something supernatural.
