IF BIRDS COULD FLY

'If Birds Could Fly' is a short film about the life, trials and tribulations of the The Bird Man.
This character is created from Albert Camus' and Franz Kafka's exploration of the theater of the absurd and the surreal. This film follows the BirdMan as we watch him struggle with the mundanity of his day to day life; visibly 'othered'  by his form the character struggles with the emotional turmoil of not feeling as though he belongs; as though everyone else knows different he is but is far too polite to mention it.
After returning from work the BirdMan falls victim to his own mind; in his dreams he explores a surreal landscape where he communicates with himself, he is his own biggest fan, his judge, juror and executioner. His rich interior life is a stark contrast to the mundanity of his external world.
