I’ve been starstruck
Obsessed and as such
Full of flush and lust
Never could a face like that disarm me this much
But it wasn’t her beauty
It was that memory that struck me
A dagger quick to pierce my lungs and leave
Me frozen in time
I’m quick to consume
The feelings of warmth
Before they fade too quick
Right as they begin to console the misshapen form
That has beget my heart
And I’m forced to face the darker parts
Of the void she left behind
She left me behind
I can only stare
And so did she
No more shy butterfly eyes
From our yesterdays
The moments of infatuation followed by coffee dates; midnight runs
Now in flames
Should I dare call out her name
But I’m cocky; stupid and smile at her anyway
