Oil on Glass
Intentions for her Anatomical study all root down to the desexualization of the human body. The pieces convey the contrast of delicacy versus aggression and how both sexes can represent these traits without a gender hierarchical status. The work is a constant reminder that one should celebrate their bodies and relish in their skin as it is part of what makes us ripe. Throughout her understanding of this matter; the saturation of someone’s character, physically and mentally, became vicariously communicated through her paintings- allowing a intimate connection between the work and the viewer.
