Description:
Flesh Like Yours, Flesh Like Mine is a dance film that calls for the celebration, affirmation, and liberation of the Black body through dance, spoken word, and the telling of our histories. It recognizes the joy and the pain, the light and the suffering, the inclusion and exclusion bodies across the entire African Diaspora have experienced both collectively and individually. We are people connected to a higher power – a vessel of Divine energy, and the hope is that those across the world and those who view this film, especially people of color, come to recognize and accept this truth, courageously and unapologetically.
