Documenting the crystal-clear illusion of a vastly polluted sea.

Since the ‘70s, the city of Taranto, Southern Italy, has been suffering the detrimental effects of the Arcelor Mittal steelworks on the surrounding environment. The multiple toxic substances released such as benzopyrene, polycyl aromatic hydrocarbons and fine powders have polluted each corner of the area, the groundwater, the air, the soil. As well as causing a significant increase in the number of diseases in the neighbouring residents.

Not all you see, is how you see it.
