Grateful

This moment, I take a deep breath to reminisce on the journey long coming.
What can I say.
I jam my hands together, looking up to the skies
Thanking God for good health and the food right in front of me.
Once upon a time, it was a struggle to feed.
God is the Greatest. Since I devoted myself to the service of humanity, I lack nothing.
My needs are met like manners from heaven
I feel so blessed that I’m out of the bottom
Not swallowed by the streets and ended up in the cage, locked behind bars like a man without the rights to my free will.
I look around me, I’m surrounded by love
What more can I ask for?
A roof over my head,
A soft bed to rest my body
The wonderful gift of art I’ve found in me
The tears I’ve got for joy
And my family safe and sound regardless of the pandemonium caused by the deadly virus.
There’s so much to be grateful for
In all, I give God the glory.
