Joslyn Grimshaw is a 16-year-old junior from Apple Valley High School, with a passion for capturing the beauty in simplicity. This will be her second year, as a Computer and Media Pathway student. Joslyn grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, then later moved to Apple Valley, California going into her freshman year. Joslyn has always been interested in photography & film making, so much so, that at 9 years old, she would occasionally steal her mother’s camera & play around with it. Joslyn is a true believer that a photo can capture a million words, a thousand meanings, and billions of feelings. Joslyn’s biggest inspiration and motivation for her work is her Father. When Joslyn was eight years old, her dad passed away from a rough battle with sarcoma cancer. With every image and every piece Joslyn creates, the wish to keep her father’s memory, inspires her. When Joslyn is not behind the camera, she is either journaling her thoughts, pitching her next business idea, performing in theatre arts, or advocating the importance of spreading kindness through her social media movement #RobsHonor, in memory of her late father. Joslyn intends to follow in her mother’s footsteps, and graduate from Apple Valley High School in 2020, a year early. From there Joslyn will be attending cosmetology school to attain her license, then furthering her education in photography/filmmaking by majoring in it at college. This is Joslyn Grimshaw, and this is her latest Gallery.
Human.
A real & raw look into our modern society, the 21st century, in the tainted way we have justified & portrayed it.
WE are human.
This,
is Human.
