Here's an outrageously sweet retro brit-pop song with vocals by Anna. Very different to my usual Blues Rock style, this song came about almost by accident in that I was tinkering with a new guitar chord structure and a bit of vintage reverb and I thought “Hey, this has a very retro pop feel to it”. The upbeat lyric developed as the song progressed, hopefully very much in the style of Duffy, Amy Winehouse and Emma Bunton.
The amazing vocal performance by session artists Anna Yanova-Cattoor, the stunning Sax arrangement by Wilbert Condez Escalona and the very subtle keys by Nick Palmer II, turned this very simple song into something special for me and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.
I tried to produce this song with a vintage / retro style mix in mind.
