Contemplating

I was pondering for some time what I wanted the finished product to be for this piece of art. It’s acrylic on canvas and originally on the sides of the figure in the middle it was gonna be two other figures at different points of their life. But I didn’t like the way they look and scrapped them but for this painting represents going from a low place in life to a more stable and happy place. I also made this while watching the alpinist a film about Mark Andre Leclerc who was a mountain climber who passed while free soloing in Juneau Alaska. The film to me was extremely inspiring to see a guy pursue his passion even though he knew it could kill him and the painting was originally named Juneau but I settled on the name contemplating.
