“Brambles” is all about the defences we build and is a modern twist on the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. So, in this version it is Rosa herself who builds walls, digs moats, and encourages the brambles to grow around her, as protection from the pain of being rejected and misunderstood. The prince character of the old tale is now an ordinary man, and not her saviour exactly (she was living a good, although lonely, life before) but together they are able to unravel the tangles of the brambles she nurtured for so long.
