Asia Vo is an Asian-American visual artist based in New York. 

Her work addresses experiences that shift perception, useful fictions, and the magical moments of life alongside the inconveniences. Asia's films have a series of contrasts where tension is created between intimacy and distance. The viewer is invited into something that is both personal, but also closed off and not fully revealed. Asia's style of shooting has a softness that, somehow also maintains a hard edge. Both are tightly controlled while grungy/messy. Asia pays great attention to detail and art direction while accepting the informal and accidental. 

Asia makes space to understand the feeling of flying, the power of ants, the process of storytelling, and bioluminescence. Asia glows, like those creatures in the deep sea, not only to navigate her way to a greater understanding of the world but also so new ideas and truths can be attracted to her. Asia enjoys eating desserts and biking. In her free time, she is catching up on one piece and redecorating her room.
