I’m a freelance artist based in Glasgow. My artistic work is inspired by my passion for graffiti and illustration.
I have been painting across the United Kingdom and Europe for 10 years. Recently, I have been developing my style in more commercially appropriate mediums, using graffiti-inspired techniques to create illustrative bodies of work. I currently have pieces in galleries in Scotland and work collaboratively with art exhibitions across the UK.
I am currently exploring creating smaller-scale pieces using digital, canvas and print, developing different themes on nature and the environment and its incorporation in society, that mix graffiti and illustration.
My artistic inspiration comes first and foremost from my engagement in graffiti and street art across Scotland. To be part of this somewhat anonymous community has given me the opportunity to work and learn with different artists from a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives. As a result, I have had experience painting large scale comissions (both internally and externally), alongside smaller detailed projects and enjoy the flexibility of using different materials and mediums to convey my art.
My current body of work is strongly influenced by my history in graffiti and the perception of graffiti in society. Much like the paintings on the street, it asks the viewer to think about their initial reaction to the work and invites them to re-evaluate this the more they engage with it.
