new normal

Here's to the new normal. Standing six feet apart and taking a moment when you're by yourself to adjust and take off your mask to get a sense of normalcy. Picnics and celebrations at the park, of course with the caption: "six-feet apart and tested beforehand!" Awkward interactions at the grocery stores, not knowing if someone is smiling under their mask to greet me. I've forgotten how to socialize and now I'm afraid I'm coming off as rude or boring. Here's to 2020, and the new normal.
