I'd like to share my debut track, Mediation, taken from my forthcoming album, Relevant Matters, due out early 2021.
Mediation is the process of resolving disputes between two parties, without passing judgement on either's position. It encourages both parties to talk, listen and focus on what they need, not what they want.
It feels like focussing on what we need, rather than what we want, is the takeaway message from 2020, a year in which the wants of many of us have been consigned to the scrapheap for the majority of the year. We've all become used to getting what we want, but 2020 showed us the world is still in charge and capable of slashing our plans in half.
The output of a mediation process is an agreement - a resolution that both parties agree on. We need that with the world. We need to know 2021 will be better.
