This is a triptych, or series of three paintings, that are thematically linked and in which I used the same shade of blue. I spent most of the first half of 2020 in a deep depression while teaching English in South Korea. I painted these after quitting my job in August of 2020, flying across the world to Spokane, WA to pick up my car, and then driving four days East to land at Dancing Rabbit ecovillage in Northeast Missouri. Somewhere along the way my depression lifted. 

Little did I know I would grow to love it here and spend the winter working as a full-time painter. These three are the first of many paintings from my winter 2020 collection but work best as a stand-alone series. Do they resonate with you? :)
