False Evidence Appearing Real

There is so much going, so much that feels out of our control or reach. 2020 in summary has been revealing, heartbreaking and scary. We’re learning how to cope and survive a Pandemic. It all feels like a bad dream, but I keep a 10% pool of optimism in my back pocket. How ? , you ask.
Everyday that I’m fortunate to open my eyes, I challenge myself to focus on the blessing in that alone. Everyday you wake up you have a choice. A choice to pull the covers over your head or get up and face another day. Fear has a way of crippling our perception. Fear knows how to infiltrate your thoughts, sometimes believe or project things that aren’t even true but when your in the midst of those emotions , the future can look really dim. That is the start of your journey, your journey to exercising your faith! What is Faith ? Is using your energy, your brain and heart cohesively. It’s affirmative and takes practice and patience. It’s the choice to believe that either things will turn for the better or things will happen they say they need to.
By no means is that easy, I won’t lie and tell you what we would all like to believe but I will say it’s beats anxiety and daily panic attacks. We all have a journey tailored for our lives and you have to trust that your destiny is already paved and that these hurdles, trials and unforeseen events are here to add character and strength. We only know our true strength after we overcome things we never even saw coming. If exercising your faith it’s something you know how to start on your own , I would suggest watching YouTube videos for inspiration. Two of my Favorites are Iyanla Vanzant and Abraham Hicks. They have similar but different practical tools to help you sort out your thoughts that may not be the most positive. I also meditate. If your a “Believer” ( A person religious based ) then you may misconstrue Meditation but they are not the same.
Mediation is to achieve stillness and hear your own heart and mind, Prayer is achieving stillness to hear God’s voice. If you are a “Believer” and experiencing Fear at large magnitudes it may be time to practice both. If your Fear stems from the Pandemic, take naps midday and take walks late night. Also try neighbor visits where you sir porch to porch and chat. Human connection is important and also a positive distraction when you start to over think or dwell on negative thoughts. Last but not least, the practice of gratitude. Finding ways to focus on what you do have and what is going well around you reaches us to appreciate all we all and all we may have taken for granted. Also plug out - disconnect from media and social networks to center your thoughts, sometimes fear is magnified by hearing too many reports or stories that end badly. We often don’t realize how much the News can bread anxiety and apprehension. Listen to things that speak life , that speak joy and shed Light. What you see, hear and speak on manifest your destiny. We can’t control life but we can control our thoughts. It’s a process and takes time so be kind to yourself and take each day as it comes.
