we are the spirits
of the things that cannot be tied down
or put to rest.
we are ready.
ready for more.
our minds seek a great wonder,
an immense love.
we are hard to keep.
we are too loud,
too passionate,
and we are strange.
watch carefully,
for our day will come.
a day for those with sparks behind their eyes,
and hearts that thunder onwards.
we will dry our eyes and we will blur the line
between okay and wild
and we will not be told our place.
