Although the world seems slow right now, it's amazing to see that the SMPLE community are still bursting with creative life.
I'm CLAYM; an artist and creator from West London. Yesterday, I released a cool little conceptual 'Synthpop' vibe 'SHAYLO'. An A/B 2-song Single. A British kid living in West London through lockdown, I was intrigued at the new movements of today's pop culture. I was craving to travel back to old times where nothing seemed to matter, but simultaneously, I was desperate to fly into the future and experience new things. The result? My own original spin on the upcoming 'modern disco' sound, with Rap, Blues and Country Elements.
Ultimately, I'd just really love for you to hear it. Enjoy it. Think about the lyrics. The idea of someone, somewhere in the world, listening to my creation and feeling emotion through it, honestly makes me so happy.

It always fascinated me how The Weeknd could achieve one of the greatest songs of all time, until I realised it was simple. The trick is to take your listener through space and time, to a place of nostalgia. An explosion of emotion under the city lights, a feel good journey full of life and character.
That inspired me. As well as my childhood, and recent personal traumas involving heartbreak and bitterness which, to this day, still conflict my internal hope and peace in a constant psychological battle between good and evil.
