This illustration is a representation of my current state in quarantine. At first when quarantine was initiated, I was relatively okay as an introverted person who previously preferred to stay inside if given the choice. However, as the time in quarantine extended further and further, I noticed changes in my mental health. The first thing that affected me is my sense of time. Already, during the summer period I struggled to have a sense of what day of the week and month it was. Quarantine made this struggle more significant in my life as my daily schedule started to become less structured and jumbled. Additionally, as an overthinker, I often have many thoughts that form in my head throughout the day. They can range from worries, tasks, tiktok audios, and more. Usually, having my friends around me in the past to talk helped me process these thoughts and also filter them out. Yet, as we cannot meet in person anymore, I found myself surrounded and almost overwhelmed. Later, I was able to create a schedule by focusing on creating more personal works. The process work required for these projects of mine let me process my thoughts. Starting these projects also helps me be aware of time as I set my own deadlines and personal schedule throughout the day.

In this illustration I drew a person that represents myself, lying down and looking up passive and expressionless. She looks up towards digital numbers that are arranged in a digital clock layout. The numbers stay at zero and become jumbled, a visual representation of my struggle for sense of time. In the background, typography of the word quarantine is repeated over and over again. It is styled and warped in a way to represent my inner thoughts, which surround me and seem to almost submerge the person in its letters.
