Hello! My name is Shantel C., and I’m a young, Cape Verdean-American artist based in the U.S.! I’ve been singing for 12 years, starting as a member of the Boston Children’s Chorus and later beginning my own career as a recording and performing artist. In 2018, I began learning and performing songs in Cape Verdean Creole for the first time and fell in love with the music of my culture. I aspire to use my dual identity to spread awareness to and convey the beauty of the story of my Cape Verdean people through music!
