I adored the darkness out of you,

I saw you for who you could be and not who you were,

I gave you my world to find myself no place in yours.

You aimed the pieces of your broken heart directly at mine,

You told me you wanted to be better,

I wanted to help.

I captured the light from the moon and poured it into your soul,

I stole the brightness from the sun and put it into your eyes,

I cleansed the ocean of its water so I could cleanse you,

I took my own heart and placed it into your chest.

You took it all,

But then you left.

I searched for help in all the places I went for you,

I begged the moon,

but she told me you’ve taken enough.

I knelt before the sun,

But she rejected my plea.

I cried and cried at the ocean,

But only my tears were left.

I looked within my heart

And realised it was with you.

You!

You were selfish to leave me with nothing,

You

You took my wholeness and made It apart of you,

you loved me for how I loved you, but you did not love me.
